Christmas Day Drinks

Join us for a touch of Christmas cheer at The Black Bear! We’ll be open for drinks from 11:30am to 1:30pm on Christmas Day, offering a warm welcome, plenty of good company, and that unmistakable festive buzz. Whether it’s a quick pint with friends or a celebratory glass of fizz before lunch, it’s the perfect way to start the most magical day of the year.
Festive Dog Walk
~Sunday 28th December
Join us on Sunday 28th December for a fun and festive morning out with your four-legged friends! We’ll be meeting at 10:30am for a complimentary bacon bap and tea or coffee before setting off around 11am for a relaxed one-hour walk led by Rebecca from Sophsdram. Sally and a few friendly faces from the pub will be joining too, just in case anyone needs a helping hand along the way. We’ll return to The Black Bear around 12–12:30pm, where you can warm up and enjoy a well-earned drink. Christmas jumpers and festive dog outfits are very much encouraged. Let’s make it a cheerful, tail-wagging start to the post-Christmas weekend! And don’t worry, you don’t need to have a dog to join in the fun!
New Year's Eve

We’re keeping things relaxed this New Year’s Eve, but that doesn’t mean it won’t feel special. Our chefs will be putting their creative flair into a seasonal menu full of delicious dishes to enjoy as we see out the year, and the bar will be open late for those wanting to toast to 2026 with good company and great drinks. Expect a cosy, friendly atmosphere, a little sparkle behind the bar, and that unmistakable Black Bear charm as we welcome in the new year together.
